The Scott Safety ELSA constant flow breathing apparatus is an escape breathing apparatus which provides a constant supply of air for rapid escape from hazardous industrial and marine environments.
The ELSA is simple and quick to operate, reliable and robust in use, ensuring maximum protection in an escape situation.
The ELSA is available in duration of 15 minutes in high visibility PVC/polyurethane materials. The ELSA apparatus consists of a cylinder with combined cylinder valve and reducer, supply hose to constant flow hood and storage bag.
The ELSA is activated upon opening the bag whereby a pin which is attached to the bag via a strap is released.
The Scott Safety Flite is an open circuit, positive pressure airline breathing apparatus generally comprising of a bandolier harness, positive pressure airline apparatus with automatic positive pressure demand valve, supply hose and coupling for airline supply hose.
An additional coupling allows the connection of an emergency air supply cylinder which provides an independent air supply with a duration of 10 to 15 minutes, dependant on cylinder size.
The apparatus can be used with the full range of Scott Safety positive pressure face masks as well as the Elsa positive pressure hood when used as an escape only apparatus.
The Scott Safety Promask RAS is available in different sizes and will accommodate a wide range of facial shapes and sizes.
The face masks are positive pressure and feature a Butyl Rubber (Procomp™) outer mask with reflex seal and silicone ori-nasal inner mask.
The facepiece visor is single curvature and made of a scratch and impact resistant polycarbonate material with a flame-retardant coating and provides excellent panoramic vision. The visor is held in place by two U shaped clamps.
The mask will allow the wearer to wear integrated spectacle frames, without compromising the face mask seal. The mask is available with either a five-point fully adjustable neoprene strap style harness or a two-point adjustable Polyester or Kevlar™ net style harness. The face mask features a left hand side bayonet connection for the demand valve. It also features a right sided DIN40 threaded connection which enables the fitting of a standard filter canister.
A speech diaphragm is mounted at the front of the mask to offer unimpeded speech transmission and there is a low resistance positive pressure exhalation valve that allows for normal breathing with no extra effort. The mask is designed with separate inspiratory and expiratory paths to minimise the risk of cross contamination of second stage regulators.
