Coming from family of skilled tradespeople, Jennie has brought her passion for building and construction into her role as all Account Manager. Her career start as a NZ Herald journalist has enabled her to talk to people at all levels and quickly get to grips with what is really important – a vital skill when it comes to helping to keep people safe.

Jennie has honed her skills in sales and account management over 20 years in trade-related industries. During the last year with Active Safety, she has firmly cemented her reputation for ‘going the extra mile’ for her customers.

Jennie has brought a thorough understanding of the day to day challenges of construction and trades to her role, with a natural empathy and a quick grasp of her clients’ business and safety needs.

She is exceptionally proactive, keeping abreast of safety legislation and changes in the market and bringing them to her busy clients’ attention to help protect them from liability and keep their people safe.

With a focus on building strong relationships, no detail is too small for Jennie to take care of. She believes the relationship should be enjoyable as well as practical, and her clients can also always count on a friendly call and chat to remind them when their stock is getting low.

Jennie is always finding better ways to do things and regularly upskills within different trades to ensure the PPE she recommends is appropriate for her clients’ requirements.

Jennie believes forward planning is critical. She works closely with her clients across sites and offices to help them put processes in place to consolidate their orders, save time and money, and generally make their lives easier. She enjoys going to customer sites as much as possible and, along with the rest of the Active Safety team, brings in experts when needed to educate her clients on the proper care and use of their safety equipment.
